Momentous events happen all the time, all around us, every day. Each one of them changing the world a little bit, be it socially, economically, or ecologically. And many of these changes originate with women. However, even today, women’s initiatives and achievements are often overlooked or not given enough attention and praise.

Let’s shine a spotlight on some of these outstanding efforts and the extraordinary women behind them! Through a podcast series in collaboration with Heidi Hauer and a dedicated website, we want to give these women a platform. With Unseen Heroes, we present extraordinary women and ask them to tell their inspiring stories.

During the pandemic, we discussed in the agency what is important to us, what are our goals and our common mission. We want to set an example with what we do, to make a difference. And we want to help companies, start-ups, initiatives and people who inspire us. That’s how the Unseen Heroes project was born. Each member of the team contributed a story about inspiring people. And there were many, many women among them. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of women’s suffrage in Switzerland in 2021, we thought it was time to give a voice to some of these women to tell us about their exciting and important projects

And we talked to very inspiring women: Lara Dickenmann has increased our enthusiasm for women's football with her exciting career as a professional footballer. Hanna Kuhfuss told us how rrreefs are currently taking off with their company, rebuilding coral reefs and how important this is for all of humanity. We learned a lot about conscious investing from Christin ter Braak-Forstinger and how she prevents greenwashing in her business. And from Tumba M. Mupango we learned about the importance of WATER FOR WATER for Africa and her valuable commitment to women's education in Zambia. Beatrice Binder told us how she founded the Neighbourhood Help in Kreis 5 in Zurich. And Jessica Mor-Camenzind impressed us with her commitment to refugees from Syria in Lebanon. With the beekeeper Anna Hochreutener we went up to the roofs of Zurich. And we listened to Nora Steimer talk about her humorous commitment to combating littering.

Noelia Blanco, COO of FS Parker on the pro bono initiative "In the last two years we have reflected a lot on values, our mission and the common goals of the agency. How can we make a difference with our work outside of our business? We wanted to use our skills to support people who inspire us. This is how the "Unseen Heroes" initiative came about. Everyone in the team suggested people or projects. Since there were a lot of women among the suggestions, we thought it was time to give some of these women a stage on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of women's suffrage in Switzerland."

And Christoph Schmidt, CEO at FS Parker concludes: "In the podcast series we have already met very exciting women. And one or two conversations have even resulted in further collaborations and support. Because: We want to make a difference for our clients in our daily work, but also set an example within the industry. With our Purpose: 'We transform the way clients tell their brand stories and leave a unique mark on their long-term brand success.'"
